How We Stay Active in Mililani

One of the things we love most about living and working in Mililani is how easy it is to stay active. You do not need a gym membership or a long drive to the beach. The neighborhood itself is built for walking, jogging, and getting outside. Here are the spots we personally use and recommend to every client who moves here.

The Mililani Trail System

Mililani has an extensive network of paved walking and jogging paths that connect neighborhoods, parks, and schools. You can walk from one end of town to the other without ever getting on a main road. We use these paths regularly when we are between appointments, and it is one of those features that you do not fully appreciate until you live here. The paths wind through green belts with mature trees and well-maintained landscaping.

Mililani District Park

This is the hub for outdoor fitness. The park has a public swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, and open fields for everything from soccer to frisbee. On weekday mornings you will see groups doing bootcamp workouts on the grass. On weekends it is packed with families. We have personally used the pool here and it is clean and well maintained.

Mililani Mauka Trails

If you want something more nature-oriented, Mililani Mauka has access to trails that head up into the hillside. These are not intense hikes, but they give you a taste of the green mountain views that make Central Oahu special. On clear mornings you can see all the way to the Waianae range on one side and the Koolau mountains on the other.

Biking Around Town

Mililani is one of the more bike-friendly communities on Oahu. The flat terrain and connected pathways make it easy to bike to the store, to school, or just around the neighborhood for exercise. We have clients who sold their second car after moving here because biking covered most of their daily errands.
